Ariel Valdés

Ariel is a senior executive with over fifteen years of experience in the international sports events industry, having contributed to three Olympic Games (one Summer and two Winter editions), two Pan American Games, and several major multi-sport events worldwide.

Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of the Olympic ecosystem and the governance structures of international federations, organizing committees, and global sports institutions. Ariel has led strategic technology and digital transformation initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen governance, and deliver high-performance environments for complex sporting events.

He combines strong executive leadership with hands-on operational experience, working closely with C-level stakeholders, international partners, and multidisciplinary teams across different cultures and regions. Known for his pragmatic approach and ability to align technology with strategic objectives, Ariel brings clarity, structure, and momentum to every project he leads.

In addition to being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) since 2015 and holding a degree in Computer Science, he holds multiple certifications in IT governance and technology management, including ITIL, ISO 27001 and ISO 27002, COBIT, and Scrum. These credentials reinforce his expertise in information security, technology governance, and agile delivery frameworks.

Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, Ariel operates comfortably in international environments, combining strategic vision with adaptive leadership in an ever-evolving global sports landscape.
